Artist Statement

My goal is to translate true feelings through color. My work is reflected on my family, I think that family is a very important element in our lives because they teach you the values you have right now and a good family is the one that is there in good and bad times.
Because of  what I think about family I like to reflect on my work how the caring and support shows in it. As an artist, one of my aspirations is to translate my feelings into my work by using different colors and techiniques. Only a very few pieces of my work are abstract.
I usually make my decisions by taking quick sketches and taking pictures of what I like and things that could relate to my theme that I find interesting, this way when I begin to paint I have a clearer image of what my end product will be. Some of the materials I like working with are charkoal, sumi ink and acrylic paint.
The work I’ve been currently working with, reflects a part of my personality using light colors and intersted in nature and family elements
